Kyle Freeman, Head of the North America Desk at Dezan Shira & Associates, attended the Vietnam–U.S. Innovation and Investment Forum held on March 17, 2026, at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

The forum was co-hosted by Vietnam’s National Innovation Center (NIC), under the Ministry of Finance, and the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States. Organized alongside APEX EXPO, the event brought together a delegation of Vietnamese businesses and universities with U.S. companies, investors, and research institutions to discuss cooperation in semiconductors, AI, advanced manufacturing, digital transformation, and strategic investment into Vietnam’s high-tech sectors.

Kyle’s attendance aligned closely with his work advising North American companies on investment into Vietnam and the wider region, particularly as interest in semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, and digital transformation continues to shape cross-border expansion strategies. The forum also offered a timely setting to reconnect with institutional and private-sector stakeholders active in Vietnam’s high-tech development agenda.

Kyle previously lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City before relocating to Washington, D.C., where he continues to advise North American clients on market entry strategy, corporate structuring, business establishment, and related tax and legal issues concerning investment into Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and China.
